Hardware Ranch

As some of you know, Raegan's favorite animal is an Elk. She knows exactly what they look like and what noise they make. I left work a little early to take Farrah and Raegan up to Hardware Ranch on the first day it opened. There were 170 or so elk that had already come down for the winter. In the middle of the winter there will be a herd of 700-800 elk. You can bet we will be back!! We paid to go on a ride and Raegan had an absolute blast. The horses pull you on a buggy right through all the elk. Anyone that comes up to visit us has to go and see it. It is AWESOME!!

Winter in Logan

Winter is finally here which means snow and cold outside. Farrah and Raegan are continually experimenting new ways to have fun at home or around town. (Mostly at home) It's amazing how much Farrah does for Raegan. I get home and only have 3-4 hours with her before she goes down and I can't keep up with her. Raegan loves to show off her infamous teeth. She will use them on ANYONE...nobody is safe right now. (No nursery for Rae Rae) Farrah built her a slide and she went crazy with it until she ripped it in half. The other is a house Raegan had for a whole day. See what Farrah can do with one diaper case!!

Best Friends...

I couldn't resist snapping a few shots of Rae loving Kaya. She nestled herself in bed with Kaya, blanket and all, and gave Kaya kisses and hugs for about 10 minutes. The surprising part of all of this was Kaya just sat there the whole time and didn't move...almost as if she was wondering what was going on...why Raegan was being so soft with her. It was adorable. The other pictures are of us all at the annual Christmas party for the USU athletic dept. They set up a huge slide that Shawn and Raegan went down, and had Santa come for the kids. As you can see, Raegan was a bit terrified of Santa, but thoroughly enjoyed the slide with dad.

Beautiful Fall Day!

Considering we are in the midst of winter...we are trying to take advantage of any sun! It was a beautiful Saturday, though cold, it was sunny, so we took Raegan to see her new favorite animal....the elk. Its a huge elk and the first time we took Raegan to see it, we had Kaya with us and the elk came charging right at us and hit its huge horns into the fence. Since then, anytime we mention the word 'elk' Raegan says "scary". Anyway, she has conquered her fear of the elk and now begs us to go bye-bye to see the elk. Really cute!

Fun Times!

Grandma Arden came to see me and Rae for a couple days while Shawn was away on his regular 4...5 day road trip. It was really nice to have some fun company, and Raegan loved every second with grandma. She brought Raegan some new and used toys, and I have never seen a child more excited. Grandma gave her an old kitchen set with some dishes and plastic food, some books, a little popper that she can drag on the ground as it pops balls and counts to 5, and a few other things. My mom said she herself has never seen a kid react the way Rae did...my poor deprived child. Goes to show how spoiled she is...I figure I spoil her with love and hopefully thats enough, but she surely would enjoy to be spoiled with toys as well! Anyhow, she just couldn't decide where to start, so she simply ran around the house, threw herself on the ground, screamed at the top of her lungs and ran from toy to toy. It was hilarious. We laughed so hard we were in tears! There are some pics that will give you a vague idea of her excitement! We had a lot of fun...thanks mom for being a wonderful mom and grandma...you're great! There are some other random pictures...Raegan set up a little station with her chair, blanket, and bottle right in front of the sliding glass door so she could get a clear shot of her dad mowing the lawn...since she couldn't be outside with him due to the fridged Logan weather. I thought that was really cute. And last, for those who know me...if you can figure out whats different about me you win a prize. Carefully look at the picture! Good luck and enjoy!

Daddy Time!

So...since Shawn is gone so much during the season, we like to take the time we have with him and use it wisely. That doesn't mean we get out and do tons of fun and adventurous things...though we would like to....we have been home bodies just absorbing Raegan. Although we have been to the USU basketball game and obviously all the volleyball games, now that its getting chilly outside, and because Shawn doen't get home until later, we have our own little games here that Rae thoroughly enjoys! Most have involved her dad more than myself since he is a little more mobile, but that doesn't seem to bother any of us. She loves riding on his back like a horse. Its so cute, she lays down on his back with a big ol' smile and clasps on for dear life. She loves it. Shawn needed to prove his manlihood to me, and did a few push-ups with Rae on his back. And the other pics are just some fun ones of us all. Gotta love it!

She's the cook!

Grandma Trudy...this picture should make you proud! Rae decided she wanted to help mom and dad cook Sunday dinner without making a big mess on her Sunday dress so she grabbed the apron and asked, "On, On". So, there she is...our chubby little cook...just as happy as ever :) We're so proud.

Halloween Time

Our little lion had a blast trick-or-treating through the mall. She got really good and just holding out her orange pumpkin bucket for candy to be dropped in! She was adorable as you can see...and she didn't waste any time enjoying all her hard work.

The infamous red dress

A few of you will catch on to what Raegan was sportin' around the house! Pretty funny! She loves to play dress up with her hats and soft silk :)

Fun in the Sun

Here are some pictures of our big girl mowing the lawn with dad and Kaya! She thinks she's hot stuff struttin' around on that green green grass. She kills me!

Me and Grandma

Chill'in with grandma trudy before the traumatic
waterworks incident with baby Austin!
