Grandma Trudy's visit!

Grandma Trudy came to visit us one of the days she was here for Brooke's prom. It was so much fun to see her, and it was even more fun to see Raegan absolutely adore her. She was giving grandma so much love it made me laugh. She kept kissing her and hugging her, asking where she was when grandma was out of sight for a moment, she said 'hi gramma' about 500 times as well! She was so excited grandma was coming that when I told her as I got her out of bed that morning she started jumping up and down crazy in her crib. It made my little heart jump. Anyhow, here are a few pics of grandma's visit! Thanks, Trudy, for making that special effort to see us. We all love you and miss you and can't wait to see you again. You are wonderful!!!!!

Easter and more...

Im awful at updating lately...I apologize! It took me this long to post pics of Rae in her magical Easter attire. She looked beautiful and she enjoyed her little Easter gift almost as much as Shawn and I...candy is pretty good every once in a while:) It's always good to celebrate a holiday like Easter and this Easter I was able to appreciate the meaning of the atonement in my life in a different light...HOPE! I know its been taught...hope...but for some reason this Easter day it hit home to me and struck a light in my mind and in my life. I wonder how others without the gospel and knowledge of it get through certain trials, cause for me, that is the one thing I turn to and it gives me hope that 'this will pass'. Its a beautiful thing! Anyway, I thought I would share some of what I feel inside about the gospel and what it means to me! Aside from that little note, I have posted some other fun pics of Rae...cooking with mom (her favorite thing to do lately), attempting to ride a bike, bathtime fun, and more!

What a busy but FUN day!

This past Saturday Shawn left Logan at about 6:30am for his tournament at UVSC and soon after he left, I got Rae up, got ready, and headed out the door at about 8:00am. We drove down to UVSC to see Shawn's games and also got to see Heather and Brooke. Raegan couldn't stop kissing 'Brookie and Header' and every time she would spot Heather on the court she would say 'Header right der.' She thoroughly enjoyed her aunties that she doesn't see very often. We picked up Becca on our way down to Utah Valley and she got to hang out with us all day. After the matches, Brooke, Heather, Shawn, Raegan, and I went out to lunch at the infamous pizza cuisine...CPK! Yum! We departed from Heather and Brooke and made a visit to Aunt Elaine and Uncle Craig. We thought about putting Rae down for a short nap there, but decided against it figuring that a short 45 minute nap may make her more grumpy than no nap at all, so we enjoyed the beautiful weather and the wonderful company of Craig and Elaine. At 3:00pm, we headed over to the BYU soccer alumni game and I got to see a bunch of my old teammates which was so much fun. I obviously couldn't play in the game, but I got to hang out on the sidelines catching up on the lives of my old friends. There was a dinner following the match and at this point, everyone knew Raegan had no nap. She started getting pretty mean, so we quickly ate, said our good-bye's and headed back to Logan at about 7pm. I thought Rae would totally conk out on our way home and she did the second we got into the car until we dropped Becca off. She woke up and stayed awake for the remainder of the ride...and Im sure you all know how pleasant that ride was. Anyhow, it was a fun-filled day and Im so happy we got to see so much family. Love and miss you all!

Baby Animals Day!

Rae and I went to the American Heritage Baby Animals Day here in Logan and got to be up front and personal with the petting zoo and much more. It was great. Shawn and I have been pretty scared that one of these days Raegan is going to be attacked by a stranger dog cause she has no fear when it comes to animals...possibly because of Kaya. So, you can imagine her excitement at the petting zoo. She was not afraid of ANYTHING! Even animals that were locked up, she would stick her arm through the grates with grass in her fingers trying to feed them. It was fun to see her enjoy and freak out with each new animal she got to pet. GOOD TIMES IN GOOD WEATHER!

Taken after her daddy!

The other night Shawn played some basketball with other male athletic staffers...and he did pretty dang good. I was impressed! He got tired but everyone was surprised that he has never really had much time on the court. It was fun to get out and Raegan loved running around in the Spectrum...she runs around in a big circle over and over again asking mommy to 'run on da rack'...I guess she thinks she is a track star but in all reality she is pretty uncordinated when it comes to running. She bounces off walls and her chubby little legs are everywhere...man does she make me laugh. Anyway, on the way home, we stopped by Dairy Queen to reward Shawn :) and we all got dipped cones...including Rae. It was just a tiny free one and I didn't think she could do much damage, but I should've known better. Oh well, she thoroughly enjoyed it and was so disappointed when it was gone. I had to snap some pics of her loving her ice cream almost as much as dad! The other pictures are some from Alpine. I was there over conference weekend and we all took advantage of the beautiful weather. Nothing too exciting, just thought I would give a little update on life. Love you all and can't wait to see Brooke and Heather tomorrow!
