Our pride and joy!

Here are just a couple of cute pics taken of Raegan. She is getting so big its hard to believe. She loves to share anything edible with Kaya, and Kaya sure doesn't mind. She sits on our kitchen floor with Kaya right beside her as they take turns with bites. She loves her dog and so do we!

Raegan's only friend...

What a beautiful day! Rae and I spent the afternoon outside soaking up as much sunshine as we could get. It felt sooooooo good to feel that lovely sun again. Feels like we've been in a cave for months...I guess we kindof have. Anyway, we made a snowman together. Raegan thoroughly enjoyed herself as it was her job to find the rocks for the eyes, nose, mouth, and buttons. She sang and sang to herself the whole time. I was laughing pretty hard. That is her new little discovery...her beautiful musical voice. She wakes up singing, rides in the car singing, walks around the house singing, bathes singing...it is GREAT! A whole lot better than screaming. She is one of a kind. It didn't take long for our snowman to melt because the sun has been out quite a bit lately, so I had to snap a few shots of Rae lovin' her own little friend that was just her size. She kept giving our snowman hugs and kisses then every once in a while she would lift up her shirt as she gave the snowman a hug and would laugh cuz it was a "cold hug". It was a good day.

Late nights!

Well, I know most of you know about Rae's pooping problems lately, but for those of you that don't, she has been struggling to get those little brown boogers out and when she finally does, they are large and in-charge, and need I say a little painful. SO, after trying every home remedy, we took her in and got her on some miracle medicine. But, before then, she has associated her bedtime with pain only because every time I would put her down to bed, about an hour later she would scream out..."Ouwy poo-poo" and sure enough we would find a ball of joy in her little diapers. Very sad! So, to get to the point, she has been staying up really late due to these traumatizing events in the dark and the picture with her and her daddy is one of those nights...oh...about midnight...just cuddling with her daddy and enjoying some crackers. She is one of a kind. I have to say that she has totally turned into a daddy's little girl. I don't know what happened, but she absolutely adores daddy. It is so great to see her daddy enjoy her just as much. He is really the best dad. He plays with her from the second he gets home from work until she goes down playing house, riding horsey, reading books, wrestling, and much much more. We really love having dad around. He is the best in the west, truly!

I know...I know...

it's been quite sometime since I have posted and I apologize! Not a whole lot of time lately, we have been back and forth from Logan to Alpine for different reasons and now...hopefully...we are home atlast! Unfortunately not a lot of exciting events or pictures, but I've put up some fun pics for all to view. Rae's new thing is hats. She makes me wrap scarfs around our heads and then most of the time we just sit there and stare at eachother because she doesn't want to move or it might fall off. She keeps me laughing!

Rae's FIRST Hair Cut...

and mom's first too! I decided I was getting sick of all the scraggly ends and also always having to do it up, so I took it upon myself to give her a little trim. I have to say Im pretty proud of myself. When I brought the scissors to her hair, she froze wondering what the heck I was doing. But once she realized that it didn't hurt or wasn't too scary, she wriggled and wriggled. So, getting a straight and even line was tough, but I think I did it. I couldn't stop staring at her for the rest of the day. I couldn't figure out why just a haircut would make her look so different...but it does. I tried to get as many angle shots as I could. She is one pretty darn cute little munchkin!

IT'S OFFICIALLY COLD!

The cold weather has really hit us hard. After a warm and sunny vacation, its really hard to adjust to such freezing temperature's...but we are managing quite well. We attempted a day in the snow, but Rae can't quite grasp the use of gloves. They are an inconvenience, but then her hands freeze and she has a fit. So, we brought it back inside, took a nice warm bath, wrapped up in the towel, played on the computer, and found a new friend...the vacuum. It was pretty hilarious watching Rae entertain herself with the hose. She had a blast with it.

Memories...Memories!

Well, what a memorable Christmas and New Year! It was so fun to see family and friends both in Alpine and Carpinteria. We soaked up every minute we had together only because vacations like the one we just had don't happen often enough. We spent Christmas in Alpine with my family and didn't take one picture. We were too excited about Shawn's graduation gift, that all we did was film with his new video camera. OOPS! It was wonderful though. Raegan was soooo excited for each gift to rip open. Shawn and I were spoiled not by eachother but by our families! THANK YOU once again! We then made a trip to Carp for the rest of our vacation. I couldn't have asked for better weather. I was looking forward to some sun, and we got it. We were able to see Raf off to Brazil. We will miss him. He has been a wonderful friend and we hope he is happy to be home. We love you Raf! The most enjoyable moments we had were our early morning walks to the beach. Raegan was thrilled and so excited every morning to go on a walk to see the birds. Isn't it funny how much the little things mean once you have kids. Raegan has added so much to our lives, that without her, we probably wouldn't have gone to the beach each morning to feed the seagulls...atleast I know I wouldn't have. Its a wonderful thing to appreciate more of the small things in life. We owe that to Rae, and it was so fun to see her excitment! They would swarm around her as we threw crackers by her and she loved it. It was so cool. Sometimes, the seagulls would get daring enough to take the food right out of our hands before we could throw it. The beach was beautiful! On our walk back home, we would stop at a little cafe for a nice warm brew and once we were home, Trudy would whip up her homemade famous wheat waffles! It was amazing. The rest of our fun was filled with shopping, good food, tapioca, movies, crazy football games, and relaxing with wonderful company. Thanks everyone for making our Holidays a fabulous and unforgettable memory! We love you and miss you already!!!!!

Hardware Ranch

As some of you know, Raegan's favorite animal is an Elk. She knows exactly what they look like and what noise they make. I left work a little early to take Farrah and Raegan up to Hardware Ranch on the first day it opened. There were 170 or so elk that had already come down for the winter. In the middle of the winter there will be a herd of 700-800 elk. You can bet we will be back!! We paid to go on a ride and Raegan had an absolute blast. The horses pull you on a buggy right through all the elk. Anyone that comes up to visit us has to go and see it. It is AWESOME!!

Winter in Logan

Winter is finally here which means snow and cold outside. Farrah and Raegan are continually experimenting new ways to have fun at home or around town. (Mostly at home) It's amazing how much Farrah does for Raegan. I get home and only have 3-4 hours with her before she goes down and I can't keep up with her. Raegan loves to show off her infamous teeth. She will use them on ANYONE...nobody is safe right now. (No nursery for Rae Rae) Farrah built her a slide and she went crazy with it until she ripped it in half. The other is a house Raegan had for a whole day. See what Farrah can do with one diaper case!!

Best Friends...

I couldn't resist snapping a few shots of Rae loving Kaya. She nestled herself in bed with Kaya, blanket and all, and gave Kaya kisses and hugs for about 10 minutes. The surprising part of all of this was Kaya just sat there the whole time and didn't move...almost as if she was wondering what was going on...why Raegan was being so soft with her. It was adorable. The other pictures are of us all at the annual Christmas party for the USU athletic dept. They set up a huge slide that Shawn and Raegan went down, and had Santa come for the kids. As you can see, Raegan was a bit terrified of Santa, but thoroughly enjoyed the slide with dad.

Beautiful Fall Day!

Considering we are in the midst of winter...we are trying to take advantage of any sun! It was a beautiful Saturday, though cold, it was sunny, so we took Raegan to see her new favorite animal....the elk. Its a huge elk and the first time we took Raegan to see it, we had Kaya with us and the elk came charging right at us and hit its huge horns into the fence. Since then, anytime we mention the word 'elk' Raegan says "scary". Anyway, she has conquered her fear of the elk and now begs us to go bye-bye to see the elk. Really cute!
